Frank Beltrame Tactical Midnight

Frank Beltrame Tactical Midnight Stiletto

All-black version of the classic stiletto. Action is sharp and positive for a leaf-spring mechanism and blade lock-up is tight. The blade release is a bolster lock (tilt one side of the bolster to release the blade from the lock mounted on the spine). The safety mechanism is reliable, but the sliding stud on the safety is not very durable and will chip easily. The leaf-spring mechanism kicks the blade open, so there's a lot of inertia when the knife first opens and you mustn't interfere with the blade until it's fully open and locked in place. The finish of the blade is way above average.

This knife has a very solid feel to it, but it would be a shame to actually use it for any work and ruin the fine finish.
