Front-Opening Single-Action |
Front-Opening Single-Action This is a knock-off of a Cupid design. The double-edged blade is retracted and cocked by pulling the blade back using a stud located on one side. The blade is guided by a stud that passes through the central slot in the blade. One of the advantages of this design is that the blade is able to lock in place with a little less play than with standard double-action OTF knives. There's no mistaking the sound of the blade coming out...it's sort of a "clank" that is comparable to the sound of racking a round into a shotgun. A real Cupid of this type would cost at least five times as much as this one did. The handle is made of metal and I have no complaints about the action or operation. Way too big to carry. Back to picture of all automatic and assisted-opening knives. |
