Boker Magnum Liner Lock YA-101 |
Boker Magnum Liner-lock YA-101 This is another manual-opening knife that I included here because of quality and appearance. The YA-101 has some attractive Rosewood scales, while metal parts have a non-reflective matte finish. The blade can be opened with the thumb stud on its edge, but it is much easier to use the "kicker" and press it out with a slight flick of the wrist. The pivot action is smooth and requires little effort. Once open, the blade is held in place with a liner-lock. A belt clip is attached to one side. The overall feel of this knife is very comfortable, with its smoothly-tapered handle and small guards built into either side of the blade. The only negative I can think of is that the "kicker" (which serves as one of the guards once the blade is open) is a bit rough and wears on your clothing.
